Junior Watson was born and raised in Sevierville, TN.  He began his career with K-VA-T Food Stores in January 1996 as a courtesy clerk for Food City’s Pigeon Forge, TN location.  Junior held several positions before being promoted to assistant store manager in 1998.  In 1999, he entered the company’s elite Assistant Store Manager Training Program and later served as assistant manager of several locations.  In August 2000, he was promoted to Store Manager, managing several locations and opening two new stores before being promoted to his current position in October 2008 as Store Manager of Food City #611, Gatlinburg, TN.

Junior is also extremely active within the Gatlinburg community, having served as Gatlinburg Rotary Club President, Pittman Baseball Treasurer, Elks Lodge Basket Fund Chairman, member of the Gatlinburg-Pittman High School Scholarship Committee and White Oaks Cemetery Board, coordinator for Chili Cook-Off and Rotary Golf Tourney, volunteer for various Chamber of Commerce events, Disabled American Veterans, Boy Scout Troop, annual parades, back pack program, middle school assistant baseball coach, elementary schools and numerous other activities.

Junior and his wife, Cindy have three children, Daniel (28), Hailey (16) and Ben (14).  They attend Richardson Cove Baptist Church. He is an avid Hunter and fisherman who also loves sports. He is a huge fan of the University of Tennessee and Atlanta Braves.
